Innovative design
TWT stands for 'tethered wind turbine,' and the guyline-based design is a key reason why this wind turbine is so efficient. This innovation, among other things, makes it possible to produce the TWT with about 10% of the materials typically required for a turbine of this size.
A strong foundation
The design allows for the use of large ground stakes for the foundation, which is much quicker and more efficient to install than a traditional concrete foundation.
8 times stronger than steel
KiteX TWT uses Dyneema® lines to stabilize the structure. This material is 8 times stronger than steel, ensuring a lightweight construction that can withstand even the most severe storms.

Galvanized S235 steel and extruded fiberglass profiles. The KiteX TWT is built with materials that provide you with a well-functioning wind turbine for decades.

The exact payback period naturally depends on a number of factors, but you can generally expect it to be under 8 years with current electricity prices for an average rural property. This is exceptionally short for household wind turbines, which often take 20 to 35 years in Denmark without government support.
Quiet design
TWT is designed to be quiet. Early calculations place the turbine's noise levels at 81.5 dB (6 m/s) and 83 dB (8 m/s). This is significantly better than the average noise levels for other turbines.
